💧Path of Least Resistance: Because the gas can no longer easily escape through your wet yard, it naturally travels toward the dry, unprotected dirt directly beneath your concrete foundation.
💧The Vacuum Effect: Due to the "stack effect," your house acts like a giant vacuum. It actively pulls those trapped soil gases directly up through unsealed crawlspaces, sump pump pits, and microscopic foundation cracks into your living spaces.

✨The permanent solution is a sub-slab depressurization system, which is just fancy lingo for a standard radon mitigation system. By drilling a small hole in the foundation and installing plumbing linked to a low voltage fan, I can actively change the pressure beneath your home.
