System change out along with addition of supply and return ducting for new basement finish. The 5 ton AC installed on a wall mount bracket to keep it up out of the grass and dirt. The 120K BTU furnace installed on 6” return air box to achieve proper air flow. The recent cold weather has your heating system working overtime. If your equipment has not been serviced this year it may not be operating as efficiently as possible. With at least a couple months of winter ahead it is not too late to schedule your maintenance and safety inspection. The V in HVAC stands for Ventilation. Here is a kitchen range hood that I installed. This one is on an exterior wall vented directly out the side. If your range is located on an interior wall you could vent it straight up into the attic and out the roof or use the recirculating configuration which does not require any pipe be run outdoor. This style exhaust hood is pretty popular in new homes and with remodels.
