Core Aeration and over-seed time is just around the corner, don’t miss out.

The summer heat and w**ds have affected many lawns. You can repair this damage by having your lawn Core Aerated. Core Aeration pulls plugs from your lawn to allow fresh oxygen, water and nutrients to get directly to your grass roots. It also reduces the soil compaction on your lawn and helps to promote a more healthy lush lawn.

Having a beautiful lawn is a joint effort between a lawn care company and the homeowner!

*Mowing high is a must. This helps the grass roots get shade from the sun and keeps the lawn from browning!
*Water! This means watering early morning before the sun comes out. This keeps the water from evaporating… water for about 12-15 minutes per area. You want your lawn wet but not over saturated, and you want to water every few days…
*Apply w**d control and fertilizer! This feeds your grass and kills the w**ds.
*Aeration. You want to aerate every year and overseed at least every other year if not every year… grass is like any other living thing, it dies and needs to regrow.

With the heat that is moving in this week, one way to keep your lawn healthy is to mow high! The lowest your mower should go is 3 1/2”. With the incoming heat we suggest mowing between 4-5” so that the grass doesn’t stress! Regularly mowing higher is healthy for your lawn…

Please stay aware of your sprinkler system and its watering times! The KC area has gotten quite a bit of rain over the last week or so… take a walk through your lawn and be mindful if it needs watering or not! Too much water can cause fungus problems and other damaging/unsightly lawn diseases. If you notice any discoloring, act immediately by reaching out to us… thank you!
