Material Handler – Transmission Power Line Project
Location: San Miguel, TX
About the Job
We’re looking for a reliable Material Handler to help support a transmission power line project. This position is hands-on and field-based — you’ll be working outdoors, receiving and organizing materials used to build high-voltage power lines. The right person will have good attention to detail, follow safety procedures, and know how to keep materials moving efficiently so the crews can stay productive.
What You’ll Do
• Receive and unload deliveries of power line materials, hardware, and equipment
• Inspect materials for damage or shortages and report issues right away
• Track and Record incoming and outgoing materials using Microsoft excel
• Keep laydown yards and storage areas organized and safe
• Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment to move and stage materials
• Track inventory and help make sure the right materials get to the right crews on time
• Assist with loading trucks and preparing materials for transport to field locations
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all company and site safety rules
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working in construction, warehouse, or material handling (utility or transmission experience is a big plus)
• Must have computer skills and be comfortable using Microsoft excel for logs, inventory and reporting.
• Able to lift and move heavy materials and work outdoors in all weather
• Forklift or equipment certification preferred
• Good communication and teamwork — willing to help wherever needed
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail
Pay
$28.00-$38.00 DOE
