I’ve had a lot of people ask me how I build these cedar planter boxes and now I finally have an answer that doesn’t involve a 10-minute voice memo or a rough sketch on a napkin.

Quick tip if you’re building raised garden planters: Make sure the inside bottom has enough support to hold soil weight over time. It adds up quick just one 4 ft box can weigh over 200 lbs when filled!

In the planter box plans I put together, I include the internal bracing I use to keep everything solid and sag-free.

🌿 Spring has me building like crazy! 🌿

It’s been a busy few weeks in the shop — I’ve been cranking out planter boxes, garden beds, potting benches, patio chairs, and even a custom outdoor sink (yep, that one was a fun challenge!).
