AIA26 brought Darrin and Liz to San Diego, where they engaged with interactive workshops, fascinating keynotes, public art and project tours, and an inventive turf expo that almost sent Liz home with ten puppies. Always invigorating to spend a weekend with fellow architects.

RENDERING TO REALITY: We're featured in this month's Greater Baton Rouge Business Report in a showcase of area architects bringing designs to life. With the renovation of Perry Hall at Mississippi State University, we used renderings to communicate a vision of a glass box seating addition that added social and dining space, solved circulation issues, and enhanced university legacy and pride. This sensitive transformation of a university landmark opened to the Bulldog community in fall 2025.

We are proud to see our work recognized at the 2026 NACUFS Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards!

A huge congratulations to West Texas A&M University and Aramark Collegiate Hospitality on winning the Gold Award for Renovation of the Year. Our team loved collaborating on the $3 million transformation of "The Caf," which utilized student focus groups to design a modern, student-centric space featuring an allergen-free True Balance station and a new teaching kitchen.

We are also proud to have served as foodserving/dining consultants on two other award-winning projects this year: the Upper Prospector Dining Facility at UNC Charlotte (Biloba) and Azalea Hall at Mississippi State University (Mackey Mitchell).

Thank you to all of our university partners for trusting us to help shape the future of campus dining.

We’re excited to celebrate this accolade from Spaces4Learning magazine. The new BRCVPA provides Baton Rouge students with a stellar, arts-integrated education with exploratory classrooms and studios and a standalone auditorium. We thank all our partners, including CSRS, Ratcliff/VPG, Salas O’Brien, Fox-Nesbit, EDS, McKnight, Civil Solutions, and ITS, for bringing this important project to life.

It’s great to see LSU and LSU College of Human Sciences and Education leadership highlighting the activity and research inside the Huey P. Long Fieldhouse restoration and addition (RHH Architects, APAC/Tipton). Our team is especially excited about the momentum in phase 2, as innovative new programs and lab spaces are brought to life inside the former student union.

Congratulations to Christopher Doiron, Architect! Chris celebrated his licensure (and his birthday) with a trip to Chicago for the AIA Committee on Design Spring Conference. The weekend included group tours of provocative and exemplary work. On Saturday, Chris presented on Tipton's mission-driven culture and extensive experience in university dining and education, and our commitment to designing places that bring people together. We're happy to have him back in town, where his work advocating for the craft of architecture makes our office and our community a better place.
