We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and oversee a wide variety of Commercial & Residential projects from beginning to end. You are responsible for planning and overseeing a specific project or a wide range of different construction projects from beginning to end. You must be able to balance the budget, keep track of supplies, collaborate with subcontractors, and ensure all regulations are met and permits acquired. Project Managers handle both administrative and hands-on work while managing construction projects. The Project Manager we are looking for will have previous experience in construction management projects and be knowledgeable of regulations and permits required. Project Manager Job Responsibilities:
ā¢ Oversee construction projects from beginning to end
ā¢ Manage the budget and estimate costs
ā¢ Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed
ā¢ Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment ā¢ Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule
ā¢ Prepare reports regarding job status
ā¢ Resolve any problems that may arise
ā¢ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
ā¢ Evaluate risks
ā¢ Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team
ā¢ Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements
ā¢ Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites
ā¢ Plan construction operations
ā¢ Ensure all deadlines are met
ā¢ Hire contractors and staff including construction laborers
ā¢ Delegate responsibilities
ā¢ Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects
ā¢ Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly
ā¢ Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project
ā¢ Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards Construction Project Manager Job Requirements:
ā¢ BSc/BA, AAS degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
ā¢ Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects
ā¢ Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
ā¢ Highly organized
ā¢ Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills
ā¢ Knowledge of MS Office as well scheduling software
ā¢ Previous work experience in construction management or another similar role
ā¢ Understanding of construction management processes
ā¢ Able to plan ahead
ā¢ Familiar with construction and project management software programs
ā¢ Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources
ā¢ Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
ā¢ Excellent time management ability
ā¢ Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
ā¢ Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
