Did you know that there is a brand of panel that homeowners insurance won’t insure? These panels were deemed unsafe due to the design and components they were manufactured with. They have a high premature failure rate and are a fire hazard.

Recently, our owner at Big Family Electric had an eye-opening moment. When his heat kicked on for the first time of the season, one smoke detector went off. Sounds normal… until he realized the other detectors that were supposed to be linked together weren’t communicating properly.

Thankfully, this wasn’t a real emergency—but it easily could have been.

Because he caught it early, the detectors were fixed and are now fully connected and working the way they should. If a real emergency ever happens, his family will get the earliest possible warning.
