We get a lot of questions about laying sod in the Winter. If your project needs sod, go ahead and lay it now. Sod will go dormant in the Winter, but it will wake up with all the other grasses in the Spring.

Install, water well immediately, then enjoy the lack of mud and dust. Much easier than the daily watering required when it's hot. Contractors/Landscapers love this aspect of Winter.

Prices are less in the Winter than the Spring!

The day many people have been waiting for is finally here! Centipede started going dormant, so now is by far the easiest time to lay sod! Much less watering! It's not quite as gratifying to look at, but will end the erosion, dust and mud, and you don't have to water it daily like you would otherwise. It'll wake up nice and green in March!
