Great news for Louisiana homeowners, the Louisiana department of insurance has expanded the Fortified roof program. Three thousand homeowners will be eligible for grants up to $10,000 to install a fortified roof on their home. For more information go to the link on our website which will take you directly to the LDI portal to apply. Applications close June 19!

Registration for the next Louisiana Fortify Homes Program (LFHP) lottery opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 1, and closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 19.

Backed by $80 million in total funding, this round will award 3,000 grants of up to $10,000 to help homeowners upgrade to storm-resistant roofs. The expanded program is now available to homeowners in Acadia, Jefferson Davis and Lafayette parishes.

Selection is randomized, so there is no need to rush. Create your profile, check eligibility and view the updated map at FortifyHomes.La.Gov.
