A homeowner reached out to us last fall because his insurance company was threatening to cancel his homeowner’s policy if he didn’t get his gutters cleaned.
Believe it or not, this happens more often than people realize.
When gutters get clogged with leaves, debris, and even plants or moss growing inside them, they can’t properly move water away from the home. Over time this can lead to:
• Water backing up under shingles
• Damage to fascia and gutters
• Water pooling near the foundation
• Ice buildup in the winter
Insurance companies look at this as a preventable maintenance issue, and sometimes they will require it to be fixed.
In this case, the homeowner had plants literally growing out of the gutters (which we see more often than you’d think). He had called a few companies but couldn’t find anyone willing to take on the job.
We were glad he came across Tri City Scrubbin, and we were happy to help get everything cleaned out and flowing properly again.
We completely understand that as homeowners there’s always a long list of things to maintain, and climbing on a roof/ladder isn’t something everyone is comfortable with.
Sometimes a simple gutter cleaning can prevent much bigger and more expensive problems down the road.
