My name is Paul Black. I was born and raised in Bayfield, and my wife, Krii, was born and raised in Durango. We've been married for 16 years, and together, we have two wonderful
kids: C**t and Arabella.
Everyday, I have conversations with people in our community about how hard it is to live here.
People are struggling to find good paying jobs to afford the cost of living. It's getting harder to buy a home or even rent; let alone build or improve the home you're in. How about the want or need to start your own business?
This should be one of the most exciting moments in someone's life, but unfortunately, we've come to a hard understanding that this is not the case. There are too many red flags and red tape with little or no resources to help navigate or succeed.
I want to see and hear these conversations changing. We have to find a way to help people live and succeed here, in La Plata County, to establish themselves and put roots down. I believe that starts with our local government.
As a public entity, I want to see policies, programs, codes, and operational requirements work for the people in our community. I look forward to the opportunity to help change that.
I am deeply rooted within this community and dedicated to the people who live here. I am announcing my candidacy for La Plata County Commissioner District 3. 🇺🇸
On November 5, 2024, please vote for Paul Black.
Thank you for your continued support!
