Just going to make a post about this absolutely âamazingâ spraying company.
They came out to spray the field next to our house and were flying so low that they were barely missing our roof as they passed over our property. Not only that, but they never called to give me the opportunity to cover my bees before spraying.
When they contacted me later, I called them back to ask for the companyâs name and information because they had been spraying near my bees without notifying me and were getting far too close to our house. I was told that it was ânone of my businessâ and that their pilot would never do such a thing.
The next time they called, I asked for the companyâs name again and informed them that they needed to replace the three hives that were killed because they failed to notify me 24â48 hours in advance. Since then, it has been a nonstop fight with them.
When I asked who was going to replace my hives, they respondedâand I quoteââWell, theyâre your hives, arenât they?â
Now, after all of this, I just received an incredibly rude phone call from the growing company. I was told that it wasnât their fault, that notifying me was merely a courtesy, and that they didnât understand what my problem was. I was also told that it doesnât matter how close they get to structures while spraying.
The entire conversation was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns about my bees, my property, and the safety of spraying so close to our home, I felt like I was being talked down to and treated as though my concerns didnât matter. Every time I tried to explain the situation, my concerns were brushed aside rather than taken seriously.
To top it all off, I was told that their next call would be to the police. Rather than trying to work through the issue or address my concerns, they chose to threaten further action against me for simply asking questions and seeking accountability.
All Iâve wanted from the beginning is accountability, respect, and answers about what happened to my bees. Instead, Iâve been met with excuses, rude comments, dismissive attitudes, and now threats.
At this point, Iâm at a loss as to what to do.
