🌿 Why You Should Dig Up Your Caladiums Before Winter 🍂
Caladiums love the heat, but they can’t handle the cold! ❄️ When temps start dropping below 50°F (10°C) or the leaves start to wilt, it’s time to dig them up and store them for next year’s garden.
Here’s how to do it right:
1️⃣ Gently dig up the tubers once the leaves start to fade.
2️⃣ Shake off excess soil and let them dry for about a week in a warm, airy spot.
3️⃣ Store them in a paper bag or box filled with dry peat moss or sawdust.
4️⃣ Keep them in a cool, dark place (around 60°F / 16°C).
Come spring, they’ll be ready to plant again for another season of bold, tropical color! 🌺
💬 Tip: Label your tubers by color or variety to make replanting easy!
