Contracted to extend the existing Pittsburgh toilet and run a drain for a sink and tub/shower. The first picture is the drain for the toilet, the second picture is that tying into the main sewer line.
3 issues
-a tee fitting laying on its back
- the black fittings are supposed to have metal shields on them
- when taking the black fitting(fernco) off it appears the last guy chipped the clay pipe and instead of making a new cut, tried to silicone the piece back on.

May not have been and issue for a while but this floor is going to be leveled and tiled so it would have been a nightmare to fix. Luckily it was found on the camera before running new drains.

Plumbing Tip of the Day:

Always get a second opinion before agreeing to a major sewer replacement.

Just today, I visited a home where another company quoted nearly $30,000 to replace the entire sewer line — inside and out. After inspecting and hydro jetting the line for an hour, we completely cleared the blockage and restored flow.
