🚧 New Project Alert – City of Midland 🚧

Our crew hit the ground running today as we kicked off another exciting project with the City of Midland.

This road reconstruction project will include:
✔️ Road reconstruction
✔️ New curb & sidewalk
✔️ Storm sewer improvements

We’re proud to help build and improve the infrastructure that keeps our communities moving. We look forward to sharing progress updates as this project takes shape.

🚧 **Porter Street Update: Progress, Framing, and Paving!** 🚧

Today, we had a fantastic visit from **Mike Rybicki**, our lead engineer with MLR Engineering on the "Trail of Two Cities" connector Pathway Project! Mike stopped by to present us with some beautifully framed snapshots of the Trail construction done by Wilcox Contracting LLC of Beaverton along Porter Street. It’s amazing to see how far we've come! 📸 This initiative would not have been possible without the 100% Funded CMF DNR SPARK Grant for "opportunity communities" to create public outdoor recreation spaces!

First, we want to say a huge **THANK YOU** for your patience. We completely understand how frustrating the road closures and detours have been. Not to mention those not following the posted detours. 🤔

We wanted to share a quick update on where things stand and why the timeline shifted slightly:

* **Why the wait?** First came the Trail, then the water main project. Right now, we are waiting on asphalt.

* **A better road ahead:** We actually decided to *expand* the paving project! This means we are paving more of the road and giving residents and businesses a much better, smoother approach to their driveways.

* **The delays:** A mix of multiple heavy rain events, extreme summer heat, holidays, and competing MDOT projects (which take priority for asphalt crews) pushed our paving schedule back by a few weeks. **Plus, we definitely didn't want the heavy 4th of July traffic coupled with that intense heat to ruin a brand-new road before it even had a chance to cure!** ☀️🇺🇸

We promise the wait will be worth it! Stay calm and hang in there—the final paving is happening very soon! 🦺🚜

🚧 Project near completion– Standish Nature Trail & Park! 🌿

We’re excited to share that the asphalt has officially been installed!

From site preparation and trail restoration to underground conduit installation, pedestrian bridge building construction, and the final asphalt paving this week, this project has been a true team effort. We’re proud to have played a role in creating a beautiful, accessible space that the community can enjoy for years to come.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside great partners and contribute to another successful community project.

We can’t wait to see the trails filled with walkers, runners, and families enjoying the outdoors!

Another project completed! 👷🚧

Our crew has been hard at work in Grayling, helping bring another outdoor recreation space to life.

This project includes:
✔️ Pavilion construction
✔️ Pickleball court installation
✔️ Limestone pathway
✔️ Mountain bike trail

From site preparation to the finishing touches, we’re proud to help build spaces that bring communities together and encourage people to get outside and enjoy all that Northern Michigan has to offer.

A big thank you to Owens Built LLC for their hard work and partnership on the pavilion construction. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside great contractors to deliver another quality project for the community.
