Our owner, Giovanni Hurtado spent time at Harmony Academy, Oregon’s first recovery high school, teaching students woodworking as they built a life-size board game about the path to youth substance recovery.

Students will be sharing their game and lived experiences during the Oregon Recovers event at the Capitol in Salem. They will represent their school and advocate for continued recovery funding for youth.

This home remodel project includes a garage! and the first step is a big one: removing the existing concrete. It’s not just about updating the look—once the old slab is out, we can properly address dry rot that’s been hiding underneath. No shortcuts here; we want to fix the root of the problem, not cover it up.

After the dry rot is fully removed and repaired, we’ll be pouring brand-new concrete and taking the opportunity to extend the driveway at the same time. More space, better structure, and a solid foundation that’ll last for years.

It’s messy, loud, and definitely a process—but doing it the right way now means fewer headaches later. Can’t wait to share progress as it all comes together! 🏗️🚗
