🤒Over the past two weeks, Flu B has hit our team hard and has unfortunately been passed around to nearly every crew member except one at this point. We have not had anywhere close to a full staff in nearly two weeks. We understand many of you are working within deadlines for your landscape projects, and we want to reassure everyone that those dates will still be met.

The next few weeks will mean long days, late evenings, and weekends for our team as we push hard to get caught back up and back to normal operations. We ask for a little patience and understanding while we work through it all.

Today was another good day knocking out a job that required tearing out most of the old shrubs and adding new ones. The customer also requested river rock and metal edging .
We saved allot of time on this job by having our plants , metal edging , and other materials in stock , prepped and ready to go .

Remember if you are a local landscaper or just someone looking for some nice trees or shrubs we can help you out . We keep several tree and plants on site and can get what you need within a couple days for a great price .

Starting out Monday morning with another load pulled aside and ready to be picked up by one of our local contractors . A few more orders to fill by tomorrow. Remember if you’re needing plants , trees, annual flowers 🌺 etc we are your place .( not open to public , private orders only ).

Update 9:30am: Heavy snow squals are hitting sections of Beckley and surrounding areas. Roads and parking lots are covering up again in areas. Most major roads remain clear with some dusting on them.

Update 5:00am, 6:15am ⚠️⚠️❄️A few main roads including Eisenhower, Robert C Byrd and areas of Harper Rd are mostly clear. Secondary roads and parking lots remain very slick. Light snow is falling however crews are catching up on major main roadways. Treated roads and parking lots are holding up better now that the snow has slowed down.

Update 3:30am ⚠️⚠️ Lots of ice formation on all surfaces. Parking lots and roads aren’t scraping down very well so extra salt is needed to melt the ice. We are dealing with very slick conditions so if your commuting early provide extra time and Give your self space between other vehicles especially when stopping or on hills.

Update 2:30 AM ⚠️⚠️if you’re out early this morning just know that all main roads and secondary roads are still covered with snow with ice underneath. Salt applications are working yet are taking more salt and increased time to melt off due to low temperatures. The snow has lit up significantly and is expected to be light throughout the morning. 

Update 8:45pm: Main and secondary roads are very slick and covered with heavy slush and some ice. As of now it’s a waiting game to see if this all freezes completely overnight as the temps plummet. Expect very slick conditions in the morning.

❄️❄️❄️⚠️⚠️Beckley Area Road Conditions update 6:15: pm Temps continue to drop and roadways are covering as heavy snowfall continues. Drive with caution if out this evening.

5:00pm ❄️❄️⚠️ CAUTION: A few slick spots have been noticed on bridges and shaded curve areas as well as Some parking lots have light snow and slush covering. As for main roads, Eisenhower toward Prosperity is lightly covered. The warm ground temps from the past week is melting most of this heavy snow as it hits the ground. Take it easy and allow a little extra time as visibility is low from heavy snow fall.

Temps throughout the night are expected to drop to 20 degrees. We will watch roadways and parking lots and inform if we notice ice forming. Stay safe!!!

⚠️Beckley Area Road Conditions update 6:30am Main roads are 90% clear while secondary roads continue to be the issue with most being covered and still having ice underneath the snow, causing slick conditions. Be mindful of patchy black ice when walking into work places as Salt continues to take a little extra time secondary to the cold temperatures.

5:00am:
The snow has let up significantly, and crews are working hard to get parking lot ready for your workday as well as secondary roads. Well treated parking lots are melting off with heavy salt applications . Continue to drive with caution as black ice and many slick spots still are on even main roads and especially secondary roads.

4:00am ❄️❄️

⚠️ CAUTION: State and City Road crews have done a great job throughout the night of keeping up with the main roads in which approximately 75 % of them are clear. Secondary Roads are still snow covered with very slick Ice underneath. Parking lots are taking extra time to melt off secondary to ice buildup and low temperatures.

All the main roads are clear there are still many slick spots, and areas of black ice so drive with extra caution this am.
