Air-Master is celebrating TWO birthdays today! Daniel and Jacob!🎉👏

Daniel is one of our valued electricians and he started with us over two years ago! He has spent most of his time lately at Limestone Edge Apartments, and is working hard to get it completed soon! ⚡️

Jacob is one of our HVAC installation technicians, and he spends his time out with our crew at General Motors. He started with us last year, and we're thankful for his dedication!🤩

What is a SEER rating?

❗️Answer:
The SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) measures the efficiency of your air conditioner or air-source heat pump. The SEER is the cooling output over a particular season divided by the total energy used in that same period. The higher the SEER, the greater the efficiency level of that cooling system.

⚡️13.4 -14.5 SEER (Standard / Entry-Level)

⚡️18.0 -20.0 SEER (High-Efficiency)

What is the difference between a heat pump and an A/C? Which one should I choose when looking for replacement?

An air conditioner is a one-way system that only cools your home. A heat pump is a two-way system that works exactly like an A/C in the summer but runs in reverse during the winter to pull heat from the outside air and warm your home.

❗️Which one should you choose?❗️
Go with an A/C if you live in a climate with mild summers and extremely cold winters, and you have an efficient, functional gas or oil furnace ☀️❄️
Go with a heat pump if you live in a mild-to-moderate climate, or you want to switch entirely to an all-electric, energy-efficient system. Heat pumps are also excellent for homes using expensive heating sources like baseboard heat or oil, as they drastically lower utility bills 💲

Your heating and cooling systems work incredibly hard to perform their functions. The constant stopping, starting and general operation can wear down any machine. Proper care and maintenance help to keep these systems in optimum condition and ward off malfunction. By scheduling regular maintenance, you can maximize the life of your heating and cooling units and guard against many common equipment failures. Preventative maintenance inspections performed in the spring for your AC and the fall for your furnace can uncover leaks, rust, rot, soot, frayed wires, and corroded electrical contacts. Regular maintenance will ensure maximum efficiency and prevent other problems!
