So, Wednesday wasn’t a good day…. Halfway into my 60 yard wall pour the pump truck clogged, so we thought. After about 2 1/2 hours of pulling every elbo off the boom to clear the clog, which there wasn’t any….. gosh my shoulders still hurting. No other truck was available to come take over so with 4 hour old concrete and no other truck available I had to make the call and send the concrete out and concentrate on getting the truck cleaned out to save it because we were at a critical point where the concrete could flash set. Not good…. So this is the result of that day. The pump insurance company is taking down the wall so I can reset this basement and pour. Feel so bad for my builder and his customer but this is out of my control. First time this has ever happened to me in my 24 years in business. So anyway as we were washing our the hopper on the pump we figured out that it was never clogged, the s tube wouldn’t operate and that was the problem all along but who can see thru 4 ft of concrete….. gosh what a day!!!!
