Concrete can take some strain, but it isn’t an exceptionally hard substance. With enough force, and over time, cracks, chips, and pits begin to form.

Epoxy flooring, on the other hand, is much more resistant to multiple forces than concrete.

It is shock-resistant, meaning that impacts that normally would result in chipping, such as heavy items falling, won’t damage the coating. Epoxy floor coatings also can resist heat – typically up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit – making them ideal for areas where you expect high temperatures.

Epoxy flooring also is resistant to damages from water or chemicals, allowing you to keep things cleaner and more safe than with other flooring options.

Completely ripping out and replacing concrete flooring, or repairing heavily damaged flooring, is expensive and messy.

Rather than completely replacing your flooring, epoxy coating goes on top of the base you already have. The coating fills in any cracks and divots in the concrete, giving a uniform, solid finished product.
