When people think of surge protection, a lot of our minds drift towards a power strip. A power strip is a very common way to protect electronics in a home, but have you ever thought about the protection of your life & safety devices? Such as a smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. We are able to achieve surge protection for such devices by simply installing a whole home surge protector at the service. As this is not required by the electrical code that is currently adopted in the state of Montana, Zero Dark Electric is taking the steps needed to safeguard our customers and their property to the best of our ability.

The Zero Dark team started the week off by attending the IAEI continuing education conference. It has been a great experience to hear from industry leading professionals, and to see other electricians & electrical contractors take interest in the new and upcoming obstacles we face in our industry. To all the exhibitors, instructors, and electricians, thank you! We will be hitting the ground running tomorrow, and look forward to the coming year!
