August rainfall has been beneficial to the District, especially in our western counties, but much more is needed to get the District as a whole back into the normal groundwater range.

The District remains under a Modified Phase II Water Shortage Order, which has been extended until the end of the year. The District continues to encourage all users to implement water conservation measures.

It was a wet weekend around the District. All counties saw beneficial rainfall, with some seeing significant numbers - the District's gage in Steinhatchee shows nearly 11 inches of rain in the last seven days, and gages in Dixie, Levy, and Suwannee show more than seven inches of rainfall.
