The west coast has Sequoias and Redwoods. The south has Live Oaks & Angel Oaks. The east coast has Sycamores & White Pines. The Midwest? We have beautiful Bur Oaks like this one that dot the old fence rows. I’ve always likened them to a sentry standing guard over the farmer’s crops.

A classic case of a redbud outgrowing its living space. I gave it some mowing & walkway clearance to get rid of all the eye-pokies, as well as a crown cleaning that got rid of the rubbing/dead branches. Should be bueno for another 3 years again!
