Possible weather conditions this evening could potentially lead to hail damage of your home. You all know I’m around to help you get your home back to pre-condition from any storm. What is more important is to know your policy. Insurance companies are moving away from standard recoverable cash value policies and adding more verbiage into policies which alleviate their financial responsibility and pass it on to you. Cosmetic clauses which won’t cover metals on roofs, gutters or downspouts, siding, window wraps. These are all being added to your policies, which means you will either pay for the repairs yourself or live with dented metals on your largest asset. I encourage you to become educated on your policy so when the time comes you can argue your policy with your insurance company. We as contractors are restricted due to laws to argue on your behalf. I implore you to do the boring stuff to have the ability to defend yourself. That’s all

It’s that time of year again. Last year was a mess with all the storms. Bellevue permits continue to be limited. We are the only company locally who have completed all final inspections on roofs in Bellevue! We strive to have a great relationship with our customers, permits departments and distributors. Don’t mind me, just out here recognizing how fortunate I am. Catastrophe’s of this magnitude displace so many individuals. My problems are seem very small in comparison. I pray the community continues to support, lift and help those affected.

Did you know most initial scopes of loss are generally around 20-30% underpaid either with incorrect line items, missing line items or unreported damages. The photos here are from a contractor who got on a clients roof and circled “hail.” Probably 90% of the circles are not storm damage/hail. This contractor spent a serious amount of time doing this in the hope of winning over the customer. Not sure if they were local or not, but please just make sure you are getting good inspections.
