About Us
Up-rite Fence Company is owned and operated by Carl and Mary Bradley. After serving in the Navy, Carl settled in Whatcom County in the mid 1970's where he proudly serves his customers in Bellingham, WA.
Prior to entering the Navy, Carl attended Northeastern College where he received a BS in Elementary Education and taught school in New England. His education also included 2 years of engineering courses. After leaving the military in the mid 1970’s, he attended WWU where he obtained a Master’s in Business Administration.
In the late 1980's Carl went to work for Johnny Fence and later he and another employee purchased the company which they operated under another name. A few years later, Carl opened Up-Rite Fence. Mary came to Whatcom County in 1979 and raised a family in Ferndale and Blaine while working at a nursing home for 18 years. Mary and Carl were married in 1997 and Mary took over office management, estimates and sales. In 2005 Carl and Mary expanded their business by adding a construction division where Carl’s expertise in cabinet making and general construction provides a broader spectrum of services to their customers including custom cabinetry, arbor design and installation, and much more. Carl is more than a fencing contractor, he is a true craftsman!
