Not waiting any longer for the city to act. The time to seed is NOW!

4 years later these ‘landscape’ remain bare mulch and unplanted after a new sidewalk project was completed, despite numerous contact attempts/ complaints to the city.

This is a trend we are seeing throughout the . New road infrastructure projects without any thought to final landscaping. Lawn remains the dominant go to 💩 which has the highest maintenance (taxpayer) cost and zero environmental benefits. Often tuning into weeds due to neglect.😪

We can do better! This custom blend of low growing native grasses and perennials will keep visibility open at intersections and become low maintenance once established. Needing only an annual cutback once a year.

GOAL: To create a self-sustaining and resilient landscape that will beautify the city and provide vital resources to beneficial insects/ wildlife. 🐞🐛🦅

Check back in the spring for growth updates! 🌱 and let us know if you need some seed for your project!

A custom native hydroseed mix was applied to a MSE wall (mechanically stabilized earth) today. Wire mesh baskets and fabric hold layers of compacted soil. Both the face and small terrace step backs will make a nice growing environment for the native grasses and perennials that are commonly found on PNW seaside cliffs. 🌱

Thanks for the job well done today.
