RMC Architects We believe architecture should be a celebration of its unique setting—reflecting the values, culture, history, geography, and diversity of people and place.

In this way, architecture strengthens community.

This week, RMC Architects was featured in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce as we celebrate 40 years of serving the Bellingham community. The article highlights our work, our history, and our ongoing commitment to Bellingham and the Pacific Northwest.

“The firm's ethos is the belief that architecture should reflect the values, culture, and diversity of its surroundings and as such, RMC views itself as community architects first and foremost. Although its work spans the region, if you stroll through Bellingham, you'll find RMC projects in just about every area of town. " - Julie Flattery

This spring marked a major milestone with the completion of Phase 2 of the City of Bellingham, Washington Pacific Street Operations Center. The new facility brings Bellingham Parks and Recreation and Public Works together in a modern, purpose-built space that supports the day-to-day work behind Bellingham's parks, streets, utilities, and community spaces.

As a LEED Silver-certified facility, the Operations Center improves efficiency, promotes sustainability, and provides City staff with the tools and resources needed to serve the community for years to come. We're proud to have helped deliver a project that supports City staff, improves public infrastructure, and invests in the future of the Bellingham community.

Thank you to our partners who helped bring this project to life.

Last week, we proudly joined Skagit Valley College in celebrating its 100th Anniversary on the Whidbey Island Campus and the dedication of a new Story Pole crafted by Swinomish Elder and Master Carver Kevin Paul. This beautiful work of art stands as a welcoming symbol to all who come to campus, honoring culture, community, and shared history.

We’re proud to have helped bring this installation to life while supporting SVC’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion in the community. Thank you to our collaborators on this project including the Skagit Valley College Foundation and the SVC Facilities team.
