Finished up this epoxy flake floor today. It has quite a story behind it. So the job was 1800 sq ft. The homeowner went with a guy that he was told was cheaper than everyone else. First mistake. So guy pays him in full and he shows up and does some of the floor. 1050 sq ft to be exact. When I say he did look at the pictures, he had no clue how to do these floors the right way. Never top coated what he did do so some of the flakes were falling off. So the homeowner was given my name by j s concrete. Went and looked at it and came up with a plan. I could not make my floor look like his. We are trained to put chip down and get as much coverage as possiblem. As you see in the picture of the 750 sq ft that we did, is how the floor should have looked. We did put topcoat on the existing floor the he attempted.

Moral of this story is two things I think. First and foremost you can have value or you can have quality but you can't have them both. Second you should always go with someone that is trained and has a team behind him or her should they need it. I really felt bad for the homeowners that had to go through all this.
