Our 8-visit w**d control and fertilization program provides year-round service and targets the needs of each season. Each visit works toward the end goal of growing a thick, green, healthy lawn. In the late winter we use pre-emergent to prevent summer w**ds and a post emergent to target cool season w**ds. In spring we feed your lawn with fast acting fertilizer to assist with a quick green up, prevent lawn insects and treat w**ds. With summer comes heat and stress for a lawn, we fertilize with micronutrients, control w**ds and prevent turf pests. Fall is the time to prevent cool season w**ds, add soil amendments and fertilize for winter nutrient storage. All our packages include use of professional golf course w**d control and fertilization products. Serving Belton, Temple and Salado, Texas. ☀️𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱!🌱

Texas summers can be brutal on our lawns, and seeing brown patches pop up can definitely be concerning. But before assuming your grass is dead, remember - brown turf may simply be stressed.

A few common causes:

🔥Heat Stress - Extreme temperatures can temporarily stress your turf and cause discoloration.
🌿Mowing Stress - Cutting your lawn too short and using dull mower blades cause the turf to brown or yellow.
💧Drought Stress - Not enough moisture can cause grass to turn brown while the plant itself is still alive.

The key is figuring out 𝙒𝙝𝙮 your lawn is turning brown before jumping to conclusions. With proper watering, mowing, and lawn care, stressed turf can often recover as conditions improve.

Trust us - it happens to us too! 😅 We recently noticed it was time to change out our own mower blades, so we figured it was a good time to pass along the reminder.

Mower blades naturally become dull over time, and when they do, they stop making that nice, clean cut. Instead, they tear and shred the grass blades.

If you wake up one morning, and your lawn looks like someone went treasure hunting overnight - you may have had an armadillo visitor. ⛏️
Armadillo's love digging through lawns looking for an easy meal. Grubs, ants, caterpillars, spiders, beneficial worms, and other soil dwelling insects are definitely on the menu. 🐛🪱

So does grub control keep armadillos out of your yard?? 🤔

👀 Take a close look at that soil — see how dry, dusty, and lifeless it looks? That's what's under a LOT of new sod.

Here's the thing about new construction: when a home is built, heavy equipment strips away topsoil and compacts what's left. By the time sod goes down, there's often little to no real topsoil — just dust-like dirt with hardly any organic material to feed your new lawn's roots.

That means two problems right out of the gate:

🌱 Weak soil. Sod laid on subsoil like this doesn't have the nutrients or structure to support strong root growth. It might look green for now, but it's running on borrowed time.

You can't always see what's happening below the surface - but that's where one of the most important lawn improvements takes place!
Overtime, your soil becomes compacted from foot traffic, mowing, pets, and even heavy rain. When soil is compacted, it becomes difficult for water, oxygen, and nutrients to reach the root system.
