Building spaces that inspire learning and sustainability! 🌿📚

Construction is nearing completion on numerious new outdoor learning spaces at several Prince George’s County schools as part of the Treating & Teaching Program supported by the Clean Water Partnership.
Each space contains various features such as seating, outdoor whiteboards, and raised garden beds, giving students and teachers a place to learn, explore, and connect with nature. 🌞🌱
These projects not only support hands-on education but also help improve local water quality and promote environmental stewardship across our community. 💧💚

🌧️💧 Building for a Better Tomorrow!
We’re excited to share progress on our stormwater management project – Perrywood Pond, currently under construction in Upper Marlboro, MD! 🏗️ This pond retrofit project was initiated as part of the effort to fulfill Prince George’s County’s impervious area treatment requirement for the Dept. of the Environment. It will help protect our community by capturing and filtering rainwater runoff, reducing flooding, and improving local water quality.
The proposed work includes modifying one forebay, construction of two new forebays, and the removal of over 30,000 cubic yards of material. When complete, the pond will safely manage stormwater while providing habitat for native plants and wildlife — turning smart infrastructure into a natural asset for everyone to enjoy. 🌿🦆
