Believe it or not we are still in a drought, which started back in September! Hopefully spring will bring much needed rain to the area to make everyone’s lawns look great again!

Severe and extreme drought have lessened in coverage with this week's Drought Monitor update thanks to recent beneficial precip events, however drought remains across 99% of the area.

3 (Sept, Oct, & Jan) of the last 6 months were near record breaking dry, and the other 3 (Nov, Dec, & Feb) have only been near normal precip at best. Thus, long term precip deficits remain. As mentioned before, no one rain event will end a drought. We'll need to transition to a more persistently wet pattern to end it.
