To date, we have recovered over 750,000 lbs. of clay and concrete roofing tile along with another 160,000 lbs. of natural roofing slate. By the end of this month, we expect to surpass 1 million pounds of reclaimed roofing materials recovered for reuse.

That’s over 1 million pounds of historic roofing materials diverted from landfills and put back into service where they belong.

The May newsletter is out — and this one is loaded.

Over the past six months, we've brought in some exceptional material. Here's a taste of what's currently in stock:

☑️ Ludowici Norman — 150+ squares of this deep pitted, blended red/brown/black tile. Substantial at 1,600 lbs. per square. Not common.

☑️ Heinz Old English Plymouth — A rare, obsolete profile that's nearly impossible to source. Years of natural weathering have produced deep greens, moss, and lichen on the surface. You cannot replicate this look.

☑️ Ludowici 14" Brittany — Oversized at 14" x 7" x 5/8" thick with a rustic stone-pressed texture. Heavier, thicker, and more presence than the standard profile.

☑️ Buckingham Slate — Two semi-loads of reclaimed Buckingham Slate from Arvonia, Virginia. 20" x 12", ¼–⅜" thick. One of the most respected roofing slates in North America.

Here's a look at how Renaissance packages orders heading out to clients — these pallets are both headed to the East Coast.

Every tile is packed vertically and tightly within new 4-sided crates, secured with a minimum of 3 steel bands per pallet. Trim tiles are packed the same way — and when needed, individually wrapped and boxed before being secured into the crate.

We go to great lengths to make sure our clients receive their materials in excellent condition. And to account for anything unforeseen in transit, we always include a little extra tile in every order.

A client in New Orleans taught me that years ago — down there they call it Lagniappe. A little something extra. It stuck.

This is what you can expect from Renaissance, every time.
