We are thrilled to announce the launch of our second round of funding for the Central Oregon Septic Assistance Program (COSAP) which is open for applications TODAY! Please help us spread the word. Applications will be open from March 15-April 15th 2024.
Applications are available on the website in both English and Spanish. Paper copies are available upon request.
This is a financial aid program for homeowners in Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties as well as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs who have septic systems in need of repair or replacement, are able to connect to a city sewer or have completed repairs or replacements during the 2023 calendar year. The program, funded by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality through ARPA funds, can offer up to $20,000 for standard septic system repairs/replacements or up to $30,000 for alternative treatment system repairs/replacements.
Applicants must be the owner of the home as their primary residence, meet income requirements, and have a clear need for service on their septic systems. Connecting to sewer lines is also eligible for funding if the original septic system needs repairs or replacement.
