Congratulations to Bend Senior High junior Nikolas Tone! 🎉 He earned his AWS (American Welding Society) Entry Welder Program Shielded Metal Arc Welding Process certification. Nikolas is the first Lava Bear to achieve this milestone in the certification process. 🙌
Instructor Chuck Hill said of Nik, "He does not rest, and he has immediately started the work required to earn a certification using the GTAW process (TIG welding). Having a certification from the AWS will be very helpful in the job market and allow him to stand out from other candidates. Besides being a nationally recognized credential, it indicates that Nikolas can do more than weld. He has the fundamental knowledge and skills to begin making meaningful contributions in fabrication or manufacturing."
