Our Chicago team is currently restoring the exterior steel at a prominent downtown property, and these photos tell the story behind a successful coating project.

What may look like "just painting" actually starts with extensive surface preparation—removing failed coatings, addressing corrosion, repairing damaged substrates, and ensuring every surface is ready to perform for years to come.

The level of rust and coating failure uncovered on this project reinforces a simple truth: the lifespan of any coating system depends on the quality of the prep work beneath it.

We're proud of the attention to detail our crews bring to every project, from structural steel restoration to final finish coats.

Great work by our Chicago team as they continue transforming this property and protecting these assets for the long term.

Employee Spotlight: Meet Crystal, Our Production Coordinator

As we head into our busy season, we wanted to take a moment to introduce one of the team members who helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes—our Production Coordinator, Crystal!

Crystal plays a key role in coordinating projects and supporting our production team, helping ensure that every job stays on track and our customers receive the best possible experience.

When she’s not helping manage production, Crystal enjoys spending time in nature and visiting museums with her husband and daughter. Whether it’s exploring a local trail or discovering a new exhibit, she loves making memories with her family.

One thing Crystal can’t live without during a busy workday? A good iced coffee beverage! It’s her go-to pick-me-up for staying energized and focused.

We’re grateful to have Crystal as part of the PPD Painting team. Her dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to supporting our customers and crews make a difference every day.

Our President, Aaron Moore, helped start the Samuel Bell Memorial Foundation in honor of his close friend, Sam Bell. As the foundation continues to grow, it’s amazing to see the impact—this year sponsoring 4 scholarships.
