WE ARE HIRING!!!
We are looking for a Masonry Laborer who will support other skilled masons on construction sites by preparing materials, mixing mortar, and maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful working environment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport bricks, stone, concrete blocks, and other heavy supplies to work areas and scaffolds.
• Mixing and Prepping: Mix mortar, cement, and grout to the correct consistency, and cut bricks or blocks using hand or power tools.
• Site Setup: Assemble scaffolding, set up safety barriers, and prepare foundations or work zones.
• Clean-Up: Remove excess mortar, clear debris, and perform end-of-day site clean-up.
• Assistance: Help masons align structures, build forms, and position heavy materials as directed by the foreman.
Skills and Qualifications
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy weights (often 40 to 50+ pounds), stand for long periods, bend, and work at heights.
• Work Ethic: Punctual attendance, reliability, and a strong willingness to follow strict safety rules.
• Tool Operation: Familiarity with basic hand tools, mixers, saws, and general construction equipment.
• Experience: A high school diploma or GED; prior construction experience is preferred, though the position will provide some light on-the-job training.
