We recently completed this Kensington project. It was a challenging site that required solutions for constant drainage out put, steep slope, gophers, deer and a plant pallet that accommodated dry and wet conditions in a relatively small space. We installed a dry creek and dry well to disperse drainage, used boulders for naturalistic slope retention, planted lots of natives with bog and flood resistant plants around the dry well and low water plants on the slope. We added a fire resistant walkway that along the house with 5’ clearance for fire safety.

This Kensington garden is filling in nicely. There are a couple of small areas we are refining but we are so happy with how things are growing. Some of the plantings include Whale Tongue Agave, Euphorbia Deans Hybrid, Lavender dentata, Lomandra, Olea, Kangaroo paws, Leucospermum and Leucadendron to name a few.
