-Complimentary Soil PH Tests
At the beginning and end of the season we will provide you with a complimentary soil PH test to determine the health of your lawn. We can then provide any suggestions such as lime if indicated.
-6 Slow Release Fertilization's
Our fresh approach to lawn care starts with the slow release fertilizers that we use rather than the quick release nitrogen fertilizers that many other competitors use. Our goal is to keep your lawn stable and vigorous throughout the whole season.
-W**d Control
We provide w**d control all season long in our program. In the spring we apply a pre-emergent 2 times to help prevent crabgrass. And throughout the season we will monitor and treat any w**ds that appear such as broadleaf w**ds, crabgrass, etc. We will only treat the areas that are of concern and not blanket your lawn with product if it doesn’t need it.
-Grub Control
Grubs are a common pest in the Northeast and feed on the roots of the grass, damaging the health of the lawn. In order to prevent an infestation and the investment to your lawn, we apply a preventative treatment that will protect your lawn all season long. -Lime Application
Soil PH is an essential part of a lawns health. It is an indication of processes taking place in soils and their effect on growth. Highly acidic soils, such as in our region lack essential nutrients. By applying lime, usually in the fall, we are able to achieve the most optimum PH range thus enhancing the health of the soil and ultimately the lawn. We will only suggest to apply lime if your PH is out of range and needs adjustment.
-Core Aeration
Although mowing, fertilizing, and watering lawns are an important part of lawn health, aerating is another vital element that should not be overlooked! Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water, and nutrients to pe*****te the grass roots in order to produce a stronger more vigorous lawn. Most lawns, due to everyday wear and tear from watering, playing, mowing, etc., will have compaction thus preventing healthy root development. Aerating your lawn annually during fall will greatly enhance root growth and improve spring green-up and development for the following season. This in conjunction with over seeding will “grow” life into your lawn!

Why is seeding necessary? After several years, mature plants begin to slow down their reproduction rate. Since a blade of grass lives only an average of 45 to 60 days, production of new tillers must continually outpace the die back of older blades. Young grass will produce tillers faster than older grass. Therefore, one of the most important secrets to maintaining a healthy, thick lawn is to make sure your grass is young. Seeding will help reinvigorate your lawn, help fill in bare spots, thicken and improve the density of the lawn (especially thinning lawns), and help the lawn fight off any damaging diseases, insects, or w**ds. Over Seeding is essentially that, spreading seed in a spreader over the lawn. It is best to Over Seeding in conjunction with aeration for optimal seed to soil contact.
