Beauty is everywhere when you slow down to see it… I caught this little cutie enjoying this cactus blossom on my morning hike.

Before and after… TWO WEEKS. Minimal watering. First mow of the season. Zero commercial fertilizer. What did I do? Spread compost, spread seed, spread alfalfa/timothy pellets (from the feed store), deep infrequent watering, bagged clippings to spread in the spots that were struggling the most. It’s the long-game lawn game and I’m loving it 😊.

My little tree has cleared the roof! I’ve been watching this tree, growing in the most impossible of places through the years. It has never given up. Every time I walk by I smile and today was no exception. Look closely and you will see the house sparrow who I heard singing. He seems to approve.

Want to keep your outdoor pillows from blowing away? Add a length of heavy gauge chain inside the bottom. You can’t feel it and it adds enough weight to keep things where they should be.
