We've had quite a bit of rain this past week and look at what it's done to our fields!

It's been a busy week. We've been shipping it out by the truck load. We've been fertilizing and getting the water going and fixing broken things.

Does your yard look like this?
It's snow mold. A lot of the ground was covered all winter with snow. Especially on the north side of the house and if you piled up snow from shoveling.
Try to get the snow or ice off of there and once it warms up try to rake the grass through to stand it up.
It's usually caused by high nitrogen being applied late fall and then being covered with snow for 90 days or more.
About mid April will be a good time to fertilize and aerate. Don't get too antsy. We still have some cold weather at nights.
