non-profits. Eileen Connolly-Robbins was the Founder of SPW (Society of Professional Women), a networking
and leadership development organization that she has grown to more than 5,000 members in just five years. SPW — which attracts professionals, companies and corporate sponsors from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware — was named the Greater Philadelphia Region’s #1 Business Networking Association two years in a row by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Prior to launching SPW, Connolly-Robbins served in senior leadership positions at two Fortune 500 companies, General Electric and Unisys, where she managed international operations with multi-billion budgets and demonstrated her strengths in revenue production, negotiation skills and brand building. She also started her own company, Pennsylvania Gifts and Awards, which was recognized for its innovative use of Internet marketing and sales. Connolly-Robbins become a leading champion of women in business in her role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce. Connolly- Robbins founded SPW to help accelerate the advancement of women leaders in all sectors; promote the need for pay equality for women and to strengthen the ties between the region’s non-profit organizations and businesses. SPW’s top-quality, multi-generational professional development programming — from keynote speakers to skill-building workshops to mentoring circles — have sold out from inception five years ago.
