Last night, two of my worlds came together in the best way. The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce had an event at Bethlehem Barrel & Drafthouse to raise funds in support of the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

As a board member for both the Chamber and Cancer Support Community, this one was especially meaningful to me. It’s pretty incredible to see two organizations I care so deeply about come together for a cause that makes such an impact right here in our community. A great night, an even greater cause, and another reminder of just how special the Lehigh Valley community really is.

The rain didn’t stop us from celebrating the incredible women of the Lehigh Valley tonight! Events like these are such a great reminder that before the titles, careers, meetings, and everything that comes with our professional lives, we are people first. We are moms, sisters, daughters, wives, friends, and so much more. And while our careers may be only one part of who we are, I’m incredibly thankful that mine has brought so many amazing women into my life who I now get to call friends.

So grateful for a community filled with women who support one another, celebrate one another, and genuinely enjoy being together, rain and all!

Ever wonder how that Coca Cola can gets into your fridge? There’s a good chance a Mack Truck was part of the journey. Today I had an awesome behind the scenes tour of the Mack Trucks Experience Center and Historical Museum, and one of my biggest takeaways was just how connected this iconic brand is to everyday life.

Coca-Cola operates with a 100% Mack fleet, using Mack trucks to move Coca-Cola products and other freight. And here’s the local connection: many of those big Mack trucks are built right here in Macungie in the Lehigh Valley.

Mack has been building trucks for more than 125 years, and today its Lehigh Valley facility continues to produce the heavy duty trucks that haul products, move materials, collect waste and help keep businesses and communities running every single day.

It’s pretty cool to grab a Coke off the shelf and realize there’s a piece of Lehigh Valley manufacturing behind the journey that helped get it there. 🥤🚛

Had a really cool opportunity this morning to tour the Lehigh County Authority water filtration plant thanks to IFMA and get a firsthand look at where our water comes from and what goes into making it safe to drink.

This plant serves more than 270,000 people throughout the Lehigh Valley, which really puts the size of the operation into perspective.

One of the things I found most interesting was learning that the plant pulls water from four different sources: Little Lehigh Creek, the Lehigh River, Crystal Spring, and Schantz Spring. Two are surface water sources and two are groundwater sources, so the treatment process can vary depending on where the water is coming from.

LCA supplies around 27 million gallons of clean water every day and maintains hundreds of miles of water lines throughout the area. There is a lot happening behind the scenes before that water ever makes it to our homes and businesses.

As someone in the plumbing industry, it was especially interesting getting to see the other side of the system and everything that happens before the water reaches the pipes we work with every day.

Big thanks to the Lehigh County Authority team for the tour and for giving us a closer look at an operation most of us rely on every single day without thinking much about it.

It’s always a great day when we bring the toilet out on the links! Today we had 8 winners chip a ball into the toilet. Gotta get creative working for a plumbing company 👏🏻🚽🤪
