Another good day of learning. Thank you to Planters' Choice Nursery and Trevor for this mornings Turf Care overview.
This afternoon we had a bunch of our crew back for lunch, team building, in-house truck and trailer pre trip inspection and preventive maintenance checks training.
It has been a tremendous winter of learning and growth for us.
We are looking forward to getting back into the field and are striving to improve in all that we do.

A Great day of learning and networking with our peers. Thanks to Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association and Luke Pepper Creative for the informative marketing conference.
Landscaping is much more than work boots and a shovel. We deal with a wide array of topics which provide career opportunities dealing in science, technologies, engineering, art and mathematics. Thanks to the Connecticut Environmental Council, Inc. and the Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association!
After an informative workshop about how to best advocate for issues affecting our industry and the environment, we were able to bring the leftover food to the St. Vincent DePaul Shelter.
The food donated tonight provided a delicious warm meal for approximately 60 children, women, and men. The leftovers from today's breakfast will feed the same people tomorrow morning.
The timing couldn’t have been better as the shelter which normally only serves one meal a day, will be serving 3 meals due to the bitter cold temperatures expected tomorrow into Saturday. This will help them supplement and have what is needed as they expect to grow to full capacity of approximately 90 people.
Please keep the homeless in mind especially when the weather gets tough.

What a beautiful day to work outside. On this project we thinned out a maturing buffer planting. Three white pine (12’) were removed and will be planted elsewhere. Three white spruce (20’) were dug up and repositioned. Thanks to Ben at Marti Excavatin LLC and our crew leader Juan our team members Al and Colin and operations manager Ed.
