This week I’ve had the opportunity to explore different construction techniques, foundation systems, and building practices used in Wisconsin. It’s always interesting to see how builders solve challenges created by different climates, soils, and weather conditions.

From basement foundations and structural support systems to concrete floor installations and drainage methods, every region has something valuable to teach.

One thing I’ve learned after years in construction is that the day you think you know everything is the day you stop growing.

Every project teaches us something. New products, new engineering, new building science, and better ways to protect our clients’ homes for the long term.

These photos show one of those examples. We’re always looking for ways to build stronger, drier, and more durable homes. From engineered floor systems and steel support beams to crawlspace drainage and moisture management, the goal is simple: build it right the first time.

The construction industry is constantly evolving, and the best builders never stop learning.
