There is change in the air. A feeling, hard to describe. The shifting of Mother Nature from one season, to the next. It can be seen in the fading greens of the foliage and the slightly less vibrant hues of the lily flowers. Growth has slowed. Less insects are buzzing over the water. But everything still seems to be trying to hold onto summer. The glorious warmth from the suns rays and the long days that felt as if they would never end. As with all good things in life, there must eventually be an end. And we should look forward to change and the reawakening that brings. But for now, the pond holds on to these last few days of the lazy summer season, with a calm anticipation of what is coming.

A client from last year just sent us these pictures of his water lilies!!! 🤩🤩🤩 They are absolutely stunning. This is a pond we built about 16 years ago at our first house. The new owners had us out last summer to rebuild the waterfall using most of the same rock. The pond liner and skimmer system were still doing well as were most of the original goldfish, some of which are approaching 20 years old 🥳 In full sun most of the day, these water lilies have grown large and healthy, with the biggest leaves we have seen on water lilies in this area!!! Plus, they have had a small Eastern Painted turtle 🐢 that has found its way into their pond. “Franklin” appeared one day in the skimmer basket and has decided to stick around for a while. Those that have been with this page for a while, may remember our own turtle 🐢, Timmy who hung out in our pond for the Summer of 2020. This is living the aquascape lifestyle. Let the water move you.
