Our deepest condolences to Jeff's family, friends, coworkers and customers. What a guy! He will be truly missed! 🙏
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeff Edwards.
He started working for Kovarik Hardware in September 2001, but had known our family since childhood. He often liked to boast that he worked for 3 generations of Kovarik owners, and we considered him family.
To say he was a plumbing guru is an understatement…and we thank him on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of people that he helped from behind the counter. He loved to banter with customers and you could always depend on him for advice and good humor.
Jeff was also a fixture in Binghamton’s music scene having played in bands since his youth. In the evenings he could be found at Mansion Audio working with talent from all over the place. Besides the store, it was his other true love.
Arrangements are still being made, and a celebration of life is being planned for him. When we have more details, we will pass them along.
Rest in peace Jeff—enjoy that great gig in the sky—and say hello to Junior and Senior!
