BIG NEWS! I’m excited to welcome Liam Spokes, drummer for The Band Honey, as a Mason Makes affiliate drummer.

Liam is adding this brand new 14” x 6” custom sweet gum snare to his kit. This sweet gum snare has custom patinated brass hardware, a 3-position Trick Drums USA snare throw, and a little piece of home no matter where he goes with an outline of the state of Alabama burned into the shell of the snare.

Liam is a monster on the drums and has chops for days. The way he attacks his drums and the fun energy he brings to his playing style are infectious. You can’t watch him play without having a good time.

Liam is just one reason to go see The Band Honey. These guys put on one hell of a show and they’ve got a run of dates coming up, so give The Band Honey a follow, find a show near you, and get in the room. You’ll thank me. I’m proud to have a little piece of Mason Makes along for the ride.

Welcome aboard, Liam. Let’s make some noise.

It’s all art. At every turn. All of it.

My name is Mason, and I like to make things.

For the past several months, a lot of that making has been focused on custom snare drums. I’ve been refining the process, experimenting, and figuring out exactly what I wanted these drums to be.

I wanted to make something I was proud to put my name on.

And I’m finally there.

Mason Makes custom snare drums are officially available.

Designed and built by me, one at a time, in Birmingham, AL.

These drums are for drummers, studios, collectors, and anyone who believes a beautiful instrument can also be a piece of art.

If you’d like a custom snare drum of your own, let’s talk.
