☀️ SUMMER WATERING SCHEDULE FOR ESTABLISHED WARM-SEASON GRASSES ☀️

Keeping your lawn healthy through a Georgia summer doesn’t require watering every day. The key is deep, infrequent watering to encourage strong root growth and improve drought tolerance.

🌱 Very Hot & Dry (90°F+ / No Rain)
• Water 2–3 times per week
• Apply 1–1.5 inches of water per week
• Water early morning (4 AM–9 AM)

🌱 Warm & Typical (80°F–90°F)
• Water 2 times per week
• Apply ¾–1 inch of water per week
• Water early morning (4 AM–9 AM)

🌱 Cooler Weather or Rain in Forecast (70°F–80°F)
• Water 1 time per week
• Apply ½–¾ inch of water per week
• Skip irrigation if rainfall provides ½ inch or more

✅ Water deeply to promote roots 4–6 inches deep
✅ Mow at the recommended height for your grass type
✅ Check soil moisture before adding extra water
✅ Adjust irrigation based on rainfall and local conditions

When in doubt: Water deeply, not often.
