See those walk pads? Every trip to a rooftop unit means someone walking on your TPO membrane. Without a protected path, that foot traffic can cause wear, scuffs and punctures that lead to leaks.

Walk pads give your techs a clear route and protect your roof right where the traffic happens. A small addition that can prevent big repairs. 💪

Wondering if your roof has the protection it needs? We're happy to take a look. 918-382-7663 | decorconstruction.com

Your A/C units might be the first place your roof starts to leak.

On a recent TPO roof inspection, we found two common trouble spots:

Holes in the coating around several A/C curbs. Rooftop units are a favorite spot for water to sneak in, because the curb is where the roof meets the equipment.

Voids in the TPO membrane. These are small open spots where the membrane isn’t fully bonded, and they can let water in over time.

The fix we recommended:

✅ Thoroughly clean the affected A/C curbs and apply a new elastomeric coating to restore waterproofing
✅ Clean the membrane and re-weld every void we identified
✅ Heat-weld a reinforced membrane patch over each repair, so the problem doesn’t reopen

Small openings turn into big leaks, wet insulation, and costly repairs. The good news is that catching them early keeps the fix simple.

When’s the last time someone looked at the roof around your rooftop units? Let’s take a look and give you an honest answer.

If water is still sitting on your roof more than 48 hours after rainfall, that’s a red flag. Ponding water usually means there’s a drainage problem.
Common causes include:
✔️ Clogged or blocked drains
✔️ Poor roof slope or design
✔️ Low spots in the roof surface
✔️ Structural sagging over time
If you’re noticing ponding on your commercial roof, Decor is here to help!

These are just a couple of examples of things we find during commercial roof inspections. Sealants that have reached the end of their life and gaps in ridge vents. Both will become sources of leaks in the very near future, if not already. If you're not on our inspection and maintenance schedule, give us a call, 918-382-7663.

Meet the Team Monday: DeWayne Corvin, CEO 👋

Some people work in the roofing industry. Others grow up in it and spend a career making it better. That’s DeWayne!

As a second-generation owner, DeWayne took the reins from his father, who founded Decor back in 1987. He brings more than 30 years of roofing experience to the job, and he’s even served on the board of directors for the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).

Under his leadership, Decor has grown into a go-to team for commercial roofing and restoration, from flat roof systems on commercial buildings to storm and water damage recovery when property owners need help fast.

Day to day, he’s right in the middle of it, overseeing operations and job assignments, so every project gets the attention it deserves. He’s also out in the community, building relationships across Tulsa.

Family-owned. Oklahoma proud. Still showing up.

Property manager, business owner, or building owner? Give our team a call. We’d love to help with your next project.
